Looking for a clean roommate in their 20s or thirties, in a private residential development near East Village for early November move in (ideally looking for someone who can commit by end of July before we renew our lease).

The building: Peter Cooper Village - 1st Ave and 20th St (Manhattan). Just north of the Stuytown apts (technically Peter cooper village is under the Stuytown umbrella so the apartments are very similar to Stuytown if you are familiar with those). Building has laundry and elevator and there is a basket ball court, park, within the apt community.

The apartment: Has a spacious living room with enough space for hosting sit-down dinner parties or hanging out on the couch, a separate kitchen with a dishwasher and plenty of counter space.

The Bedroom: $2400, large bedroom with lots of sunlight.

Roommate: An NYU Stern full time MBA student and a professional(both in the 20s/ early 30s age range). We are pretty relaxed and chill. Communication is important to both of us - we just like to talk about issues as they come up instead of having things blow up later on! We like to host occasional gatherings/parties in the apartment but for the most part keep things pretty quiet.

The location: We are few blocks North of East Village and pretty close to Gramercy. 6 min walk to the L station and ~15 min walk from Union Square. Couple of MTA but stops right next to the building! Trader Joe’s, Target, Starbucks, within 5-10 min. Lots of other restaurants and eateries within 5 min and 10-15 min away from all the bars, restaurants and parties in the East Village!
